Hey Abby! You had a great christmas! You got a Diego Powerwheels Jeep, Lalaloopsy dolls, a baby stroller, a little people circus, tea set and dishes. You were so much fun. This christmas was a bit of a rough one for me- car is broken, etc. but you put a smile on everyone's face all day:)

Helpful Abby
This is you being helpful and bringin mommy a diaper after you pooped in the big potty!
It's been way too long...
Since I have written to you- I am sorry! The semester just finished and I vow to keep better record of you growing up!
You are so smart. You know all of your letters, can count to ten and beyond, and your vocabulary is amazing. You say the funniest things, you are so mature sometimes that you are like an adult in a tiny little body! You love to watch Fresh Beat Band, Dora, Superwhy, Elmo, and Yo Gabba Gabba. You love fruit, chocolate milk... Typical kid stuff exxept you also like spicy and sour things!
You got to see santa this weekend for the first time! We went to the VFW so Papaw Randy could show you off and you could see santa. You were scared for a second but you warmed up quickly- especially when he gave you a present! You got a baby doll- princess Belle.
You make me so happy. You are funny, smart and completely adorable. I love our time together. You know more than i ever expect you to, and you are so inquisitive that ifthere is something you dont know, youll be learning it soon!
You call honey mustard 'happy mustard' and it cracks me up. I also find random videos and pictures on my phone from when you take it. Christmas is soon, and i cant wait to see you open all of your presents. Tomorrow is your last day with Nina before she leaves for florida, i know you will miss her!!

It's been way too long since I have written
You are just so smart, sweet baby. I have gotten to spend a great amount with you in the last few weeks. Yesterday was my birthday and we went camping with rick and tasha to celebrate. You had a great time- you colored a strawberry shortcake coloring book most if the time. I am so glad we brought you- you were a great baby. I have lots of great pictures to share with this entry. I turned 31! I loce you, you are a sweetheart!

Hi baby! You were a good girl for Nina today, and she said you were really excited to see loreli and ainsley this week!
You have a new love- chocolate milk:) you get very excited to have it. You are so sweet- today we stayed in the basement due to tornado watches and you did so well. You explored the toys and liked laying in your bouncy house you are so affectionate and fun. I love you!

Orlin Strunk, Sr.
Hi Abby. We just got back from vacation in the Smoky Mountains, but more on that later. We got sad news this morning- your great grandpa Orlin passed away this morning at 89. I am so sad, he was an amazing man and you really, really loved your "Pa". I am so sad that you won't get to remember your times with him, because he really loved you as much as you loved him.
At least 15 years go, Orlin had a stroke that affected a great deal of his speech and mobility. Before the stroke, I remember Orlin as being a quiet but gentle and loving grandpa. He would stand up for me when Tiffany was being unfair, and he was probably the first to do so aside from my mom. After the stroke, he had difficulty speaking and generally didn't say too much.
Still, he lived an active and happy life until this morning when pneumonia took him. Although I don't know a whole lot about Orlin's life prior to when I met him (I was about 3) I'm sure that I will in the coming days and hope to update this more thoroughly for you.

Good night pookadoo:)
You made my day at bedtime when you and i hugged each other and swayed before i put you into your crib. When i would try to put you in bed you would hold my neck that much tighter:)I love you so much- you totally have my heart! I cant let you know that, but i hate to see when you are sad. But fortunately you are a happy little girl. You are my sweetie pie. I am so glad we arent sick anymore and i can love all over you.

Another extended weekend!
Hi Abby! You were sick yesterday so I got to stay home with you! I think you are feeling better today. Friday night you stayed with ma and pa so I loved getting to spend the extra time with you. We got you a dollhouse this weekend, it is so cute. You have watched Barney somewhere because you saw him on tv and got so excited. You call him "Marney" and get pretty mad when I dont realize what you are saying! I love you, sweet baby! You were awake before i left for work today so i got you up and put you in bed with daddy to watch Barney and you said "shh" so i wouldnt wake up daddy:$

Good night sweet baby!
Even though I am typing on a tiny ipod keyboard, I like the new on the go Abby journal! I get a lot more opportunities to write- the only drawback being more typos!
Tonight, i picked you up after work from Lois Vollmer, your winter fill-in sitter. You have been going there for three weeks and you are always a super happy baby when i come to get you! She watches a lot of kids that you love to play with.
After you had some dinner we went to the Y so I could work out. You played in the child center and were sitting on the lap of a very sweet older lady and you were reading a book. Everyone knows your name and is really excited to see you there. I found you in the same old lady's lap last time we went to the Y reading a book. You are so sweet. Tonight, our neighbor Tasha brought us some clothes and you gave her very sweet hugs.
You are my little buddy! We went to Ikea last night and you spent some time out of the cart holding my hand and walking around-I cant believe you are so big! You are either becoming a much better listener or just aren't (teething/sick/any other unfun feeling) because you have become such a sweet little girl. You say "awww" to your stuffed animals, and made two of them kiss at Ikea. You ask for and give great big squeezes of hugs. You give wonderful hugs.
It's late and my bath water has run our. I'm laying in a cold empty tub now so I am signing off to warm up and head to bed.

A great long weekend
Hi Abby! Thanks to a stubborn case of bronchitis, i got an extra day and a half with you yesterday and the day before! I got to see you this morning before i left for work and you were so sweet! You asked for a hug, and squeezed my neck all cuddly and patted my back during:) i miss you! You are so smart. This weekend was grandpa orlins 79th birthday party, and you loved getting to see him, grandma and grandpa. You played really well with all of the kids. You are kinda mean to your big brother Aiden- you gave him a bloody nose and then grabbed it and twisted! I love you so much- it might be another quiet night tonight since I'm still getting better, but starting tomorrow we will have to start going to the Y again after work- you love going there to play while i work out! This weekend dad is off with us so we will have to go do something fun!

Your first day with babysitter Lois!
Hi Abby! Today is your first day with Lois Vollmer. Dad said the drop off today went well but haven't heard any details... I'm nervous but am hopeful that she's goong to work out really well!! Friday is your dad's birthday so you may spend the night with granda and grandpa... Then i am looking forward to spending the rest of the weekend with you!
